Ok. Synology 1019, latest DSM 6, current plex package as of 1-09-2020.
It was working last night.
I got the error that the server can’t connect, when trying to access it from roku, thats what started all this. Logged into plex.tv, server wasnt available. I can log into DSM over the network, nothing changed.
I tried to start the plex on the NAS, no go. I read chucks thread about the failed package from 2 years ago, followed some of it…
Uninstalled, removed plex user, reinstalled.
-Under packages, plex does not show up under all packages, but will show up doing a searchbox for it, to install it.
-ssh in, it does NOT show under the @appstore when uninstalled.
in one of the plex log files (still can get to them via file station) it said something about database corrupted.
-I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, updated to newest, nothing.
The ONE thing I may have messed up, last night I dropped a .jpg file for a movie by mistake into the plex directory. I moved that out today when looking from problems, that didn’t appear to be it.
I can not get plex to run at this time.
Thanks.

After lots of searching on the forums, I just deleted all the plugin-db files and started over.
For some reason, the only thing I can see weird, is that the latest date on the newest db file was 1-30-2020. No idea how the date jumped ahead, as today it’s 1-10-2020. Verified on DSM. I did not fiddle with re-dating the files for trying to fix it. Just starting over. sigh
