Synology DS 920+ intermittent remote connection

I recently bought the Synology DS 920+ to use as a Plex server. I share the server with family members remotely. Occasionally I will get an alert from Tautulli saying that remote connection is down. I check the server to make sure it is not an issue with Tautulli falsely reporting it, and it was not false. The connection will go out, sometimes for only seconds but at other times up to a half an hour before it reconnects. It reconnects automatically without any intervention or action on my part. Can someone please explain how I can make this more stable? My old Plex server never had issues like this.

I have a stable internet connection and the router is setup with UPnP enabled. When I check the auto generated port forward table, it matches what is shown in the server settings. The server does not lose connection on the LAN, just on the WAN temporarily and at random time. Sometimes it drops connection while someone is remotely streaming and cannot continue playback.

Has anyone else had similar issues or know how I can fix this? Thank you in advance!

Server Version#: 1.20.4.3517
Player Version#: 4.46.2

I understand that much of it is out of my control. But I have another server running on the same network and it has never lost connection to the remote services. There should not be a conflict between the two servers because I have verified that they are using different remote ports, and the ip addresses are different. So my question is. Why can I get such a stable connection with my old NAS, but with my new one it is intermittent? So I was wondering if there are some deeper setting in the DS920+ or on my router that I need to change in order to make it more stable.
