I didn’t see any remotes in your logs.
With respect to DSM’s desktop port 5001, I cannot help you there. DSM desktop security changed a lot with DSM 7. Synology has become very strict with the port.
Only you should be accessing the port from your web browser for the purpose of administering DSM.
You should not be using it to open Plex. Plex’s apps can open your server by themselves through Remote Access.
Regarding the LG.
If the TV falls into one on this list then it’s a known failure on the TV’s part
There is a way to allow his TV to work (unsecure) while keeping other devices secure.
- If his IP rarely or never changes (most ISPs don’t change IP addresses unless your modem/router changes) you can add the IP address
- If it does change frequently, have him set up a DDNS on a computer which updates his local IP.
- In your server settings,
- Settings - Server - Network - Show Advanced,
- List of IPs/Networks allowed to connect without auth.
- Add his IP address or DDNS name.
