FAQ 14: Use SSH to access the Synology command line

  1. Control Panel
  2. Terminal & SNMP
  3. Enable SSH
  4. Sign into the NAS using PuTTy (Windows) or ssh (Mac & Linux)
  5. Open the SSH session
  6. Use your username & password
  7. Be greeted with the command line prompt $
