Synology -> Rasplex possible

I’ve quite a lot of movies (and tv shows) on my Synology server. But since it’s no more possible to use PMS on a ARMv5 NAS, I was thinking if it was possible to use a Pi3 with Rasplex as PMS, and I connect my Samsung TV to Pi.

So it would be something like:
Synology —> Rasplex (pi) —> TV

Have a look at OpenELEC. Rasplex requires a PMS

Thanks, yes, I do run Kodi now, but since my tv has a Plex-client, I thought this might be a solution. Too bad, will stick with Kodi then

It would work as long as none of your media needs to be transcoded for the Samsung Plex client. rPi3 PMS doesn’t have the resources to transcode. You could use 2 rPi’s to accomplish this, 1 PMS and 1 Client.

Hi @EdwinK,

I was in the same situation, when plex didn’t release new versions for the synology arm I got into panic mode. But in the end I was lucky and got the last version released, I cannot promise anything, but as soon as I go back home I’ll try to send you the file so you can set it into the NAS.

Here is the package
