Take a cue from Roku

Roku recently created a new streaming service (VOD) called “Howdy.” Despite its oddly cowboy sounding name, it is pretty much Roku channel (A channel by Roku exclusively on Roku devices) without commercials. However, it is only $2.99 USD per month. As a lifetime Plex subscriber, I use my Plex Server quite a bit just streaming to my own TVs. Like many, I hate commercials and refuse to watch any streaming that relies on them. I would GLADLY pay $2.99 USD per month to watch the “Movies and Shows on Plex” unmolested.

Is this suggestion specifically focusing on Plex‘s live-tv streaming or also incl. their video on demand scope?

I suppose, your suggestion was about Plex offering certain premium channels as an additional subscription option.
Assuming that’s correct, please comment/voten in this existing suggestion in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

The Roku Channel is not exclusive to Roku devices. It’s available on Android TV and the Amazon App store for FireOS devices, too.
