Tautulli - Monitor your Plex Media Server

All the sudden at 10:08 MDT I Tautulli is causing my Plex Server to crash. I added a few items, I got some notifications, and then Plex crashed. Opened it back up, crashed again. I then stopped Tautulli and there are no crashes. Started it back up, crashes. I have a long list of logs, but it seems to come down to a few items I see over and over again:

2018-07-20 23:17:14 - WARNING :: Thread-3 : Failed to access uri endpoint /sync/items/28160895. Status code 404

Now, there were no changes, no updates that corresponded. I have restored from a Time Machine Back up (mac) and via the Tautulli backups. I even installed fresh with no database restore and ran through the wizard, so there is obviously a network error/etc. Can someone help me?

I’ve looked through the Wiki and tried some of things there already with no success. (Things like Required/Preferred for SSL, etc).

Thank you all in advance!

My Tautulli broke after a server restart and i could really use some help to get it back to normal.
Here is how it looks in every browser i try. https://imgur.com/a/URB3InR
I have no idea how or why it happen.

Have tried other browsers, cleared cache from them, ran the browsers in incognito mode, same problem in all browsers.

Devices used: Windows Machines ( win7, win10) ,MacBook Air, iPhone, Android.
Browsers tried: Firefox, Edge, Chrome, IE, Safari.

Arcanemagus asked for my Tautulli logs on dc

Have downloaded newest files from https://github.com/Tautulli/Tautulli
Have installed a newer version of github.
Have repaired python 2.7.12
Tried changing Foldername from Plexpy to Tautulli, used latest files from github.com/Tautulli
Tried removing lines from config.ini ( http_host, http_port, and enable_https ) as suggested in the FAQ

The DB seams to be working fine, i can still see my history ect, just looks all messed up.
Not sure what else to do.
Any and all help is appreciated.

hi,

I cannot get Tautulli to show my Plex logs.

Both Plex and Tautulli are on my QNAP.

I have tried several paths including:
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Plex/Plex Media Server/Logs
which is the location my Mac sees
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library/Plex media Server/Logs according to Plex help files

I am running PMSLibShare, hence the first path.

thanks!
James.

I see Tautulli supports monitoring and logging of movies, tv, and music.
Does it also support “Other Videos” and maybe “Photos” libraries?

See Tatulli Wiki question regarding QNAP - here, linked for you - GitHub - Tautulli/Tautulli-Wiki: Wiki for Tautulli
(I’d recommend reviewing all the FAQ too)

No photos, pretty sure No to other videos too, as they count as “clips” which it definitely doesn’t monitor.

Other Videos count as movie type.

@NewPlaza. Sorry. Yes, “other video” can be tracked then.
Photos no
I totally forgot Tautulli tracks some surround sound demos I have in a Other Videos library.

Sweet. Thank you both!

@JamminR - Hi, I did try that first, but I couldn’t;t get it to work. I am using PMSLibSHare which maps to a directory /share/Plex/Plex Media Server/Logs (which I can see on my Mac) but also doesn’t work with Tautulli

Hi to the Tautulli development team,

I hope you are doing well.
Below is a rather prominent issue I am facing when continuing to use Plex, Tautulli and remote wake & sleep:
It seems, now that I have been able to remotely wake and sleep my Plex Windows 10 Server whenever the remote access is triggered, that there are problems when the server is asleep and Tautulli is still loaded/running. When the PC goes to sleep, it may wake once after I test it via my 4G on my iPhone, however, it then does not continue to remotely wake when triggered for the rest of the day. I then tried this without Tautulli being pre loaded and running on Windows 10, and it seems the PC/Server is now running fine for myself and family members who use the remote server access. However, now that Tautulli is not running, I can then obviously not be able to continue monitoring the server, and receive alerts via either the Tautulli iOS app or via the Pushover notification agent push notifications? Something is stopping the PC from continuing to load and wake out of sleep mode when triggered?

I hope this is making sense, and could hopefully be looked at so that this ability could continue to happen,
Thanking you :+1:

Hello, I’v looked over the forums a little and cannot find if tautulli is officially been released? If so has there been upgrade instructions released or a how to from plexpy? I’v been running plexpy for years and love it, its been rock solid in doing what I want so I’v been waiting for tautulli to officially release so I can upgrade and keep all my statistics.

Thanks

@Sliposis
Tautulli has been released many months.
See first post/below for install instructions.

Keep your Plexpy.db file.
I’m unsure if any of the config.ini is kept. The FAQ may help out quite a bit. The notification system has majorly changed. In a good way.

Hi everybody,

I have just installed Tautulli on Windows. The Setup Wizards is showing up but when I try to Sign In with plex, nothing happens. When using browser Egde a new screen pops up but nothing happens. If I use IE no screen pops up at all.

When checkig Tautulli log I get the following messages:

2018-07-29 21:12:47 - ERROR :: CP Server Thread-12 : WebUI :: /welcome : Invalid argument. (jquery-2.1.4.min.js:3)
2018-07-29 21:14:19 - ERROR :: CP Server Thread-13 : WebUI :: /welcome# : Invalid argument. (jquery-2.1.4.min.js:3)

2018-07-29 21:31:29 - ERROR :: CP Server Thread-11 : WebUI :: /welcome# : Invalid argument. (jquery-2.1.4.min.js:3)

Did anybody had this problem before? Or does some one know how to fix this?

Thank you!

Try using Chrome or Firefox instead.

Off-topic - My personal preference would be Firefox - slightly less spying. :slight_smile:

I used Firefox and that did the trick! Simpel as that. Thanks JonnyWong16

I tried installing and all goes well until the last step:

user@bellator:/opt/Tautulli$ python Tautulli.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File “Tautulli.py”, line 35, in
import plexpy
File “/opt/Tautulli/plexpy/init.py”, line 33, in

File “/opt/Tautulli/lib/apscheduler/init.py”, line 1, in
from pkg_resources import get_distribution, DistributionNotFound
ImportError: No module named pkg_resources

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Your Python is out of date or you need to install setuptools.

Python was the latest version. I had to install python3-setuptools-git.

I recently had a corrupted Plex server database and had to re-setup Plex from scrach. Now the libraries and items in Tautulli are wrong and/or don’t point to the correct place anymore.

Is there any way to fix this, or will I have to delete the Tautulli database as well and start from scratch here, too? Would be a shame to loose all the stats but better than live with the many wrong numbers (library items for example) or items (home videos in movies for example).

Thanks a lot for your help.
