Just wanted to point out my experience using this device and another tuner I bought on eBay from somewhere in China. The TBS was bought through Amazon. I mainly want to be able to use these tuners in Japan in order to watch Live TV and have DVR capability through the Plex server. The Plex server was able to recognize both tuners and I was able to designate the tuners to accept ISDB-TV signals. Unfortunately I am in the US and could not further test these tuners for both TV signal and EPG capabilities. Today I sent the PC laptop along with all the devices to Japan for my daughter to set it up in her dorm. I set up the laptop for remote access as well. Prior to sending the laptop to Japan I used the WinTV DualHD USB tuner to make sure that my Plex server worked with ATSC tv signals in the US. It worked flawlessly. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the tuners I’m sending to Japan will also work with the Japanese TV signals. As a backup plan, there are electronics stores in Japan selling PC TV tuners but none are dual tuner capable so far. I’ll continue to post my experiences with this set up.

In Japan there is a brand of tv tuners named Plex which I thought was interesting. But nothing so far shows promise.
