TBS TV tuner into Plex

Hi guys,

I have a TBS TV card which works great. I also have Plex server set up which works brilliantly at home. However, I have to shut down (or minimise) Plex, and bring up the TBS screen to watch TV (I used to use WMC but Windows 10 got rid of that for me :frowning: ). That’s fine, but a bit of a pain, though I have programmed macros on my logitech remote which does make it a little easier, but still not ideal.

What would be amazing would be if I can make Plex “see” my TBS card and just use Plex as the interface to my tv tuner.

I’m sure this has been asked before, but is there a way of doing it? If so, can you link to it for me?

Trumpy - thank you so much for such a clear and concise answer. That HD Home Run box does look good, but as you say what I have at the moment is manageable, but that is definitely an interesting proposition - certainly as I have Cat5e around the house, so would make it quite an attractive offering.

I’ll keep my eyes and ears open nonetheless. I do love Plex and have been using it for years - I don’t see me going back to any other type of software I must say!
