TCL C835 TV constant buffering of direct play 4k files (Direct Play)

I’m using a fairly high end Windows 10 laptop as my Plex Server, and direct playing 4k files to my TV using the android Plex client. I’ve had significant performance degradation and constant buffering and cannot figure out why. The transfer rate on the files is around 40mbps. The server is connected to the client via a router on 5ghz wi-fi (local connection, all devices in same room) which should be sufficient for smooth transfer. Can’t tell if this is a network or client issue. Considering purchase of Nvidia Shield Pro to serve as the client but want to be sure I’m not wasting $$ when it’s not required. Logs attached.
