TCL Google TV not recognized as 4k and limited to 1080P

Server Version#: 1.28.0.5999
Player Version#: 9.14.0.37777

I have a brand new 2022 LG P635 series HDR Google TV. The plex client will not play anything 4K and is forcing transcoding because “4K playback is not supported on this device”

Client logs show
Analyzing media: 3840x2160 24351kbps (Container: mkv, Video: hevc, Audio: eac3)
[MediaDecisionEngine] Unable to direct play; 4K playback is not supported on this device
[MediaDecisionEngine] Resolution 2160 exceeds maximum allowed (1080)

Here is device info from log

I have read that plex for Smart TV is limited to 1080P but also read that all official Android TV and Goggle TV are fully supported. I have a 2021 TCL TV running Android TV and plex words perfectly in 4K but this 2022 with the new Google TV will not. I have checked all setting and upgraded the TV to latest firmware.

When the media starts to play I see the HDR icon on the TV appear. 4K also works fine from other apps or from plex off external android box.

Am I just out of luck with this model?
