Player Version#: Roku Streaming box
This began just tonight:
My Plex media server is on Windows 10 on a dedicated system on my LAN.
I have a Roku streaming box with Plex app.
Any video I stream now to my Roku is wildly out of sync with audio, 5-8 seconds apart. Subtitles are also way off both audio & video (it appears). If I stream these same files from another PC with Plex Web, they are fine. All these devices are hardwired through Ethernet. I have Gigabit Ethernet and Gigabit Internet.
I would have suspected the Roku device, but everything else (Netflix, YouTube, etc.) streams fine and even using the Plex app on Roku, I have streamed from a friend’s Plex server shared with me with no sync issues.
I have an Android tablet with Plex app that streams it perfectly over WiFi.
So I am at a lost to figure this one out. Again, to summarize:
- Plex Windows 10 Server
- Plex Web over PC plays perfectly
- Plex app on Android plays perfectly
- Plex on Roku plays files from friend’s Plex server perfectly
- Roku plays Netflix, YouTube, etc. perfectly
- Plex on Roku is 5-8 seconds out of sync on everything from my Plex server
