Terrible

The new plex app is atrocious, and has ruined my day, terrible update, i hope to see this fixed quickly, why is there no next episode button when screen casting any more? This feels unfinished

Same here. Completely ruined my day as well. Just a miserable time with this, what loser manager/director at the company decided to push this update to production? Hope people are losing their jobs over this. Nobody asked for any of this.

I agree. Whose is the idea to ostracize the music libraries from the new app?

It’s ridiculous dude. Can’t even give us a ‘legacy’ mode. I would literally pay for a 2nd lifetime pass just to get the old app back.

They admit downloads are not finished. So we got this shoved at us and it wasn’t even finished. Feels a bit par for the course Plex. I can’t count how many times I needed Plex sync and it was hot garbage due to updates. It’s been good for a long time so I guess I was due for this. Thanks, I take back all the confidence I gained that you might have neen there for me when I needed it

It’s not quite Spotify levels thankfully. However it’s still dreadful.

And I don’t get why you beta something then still release something that’s clearly not a fully functional replacement for the legacy app.

Downloads are broken completly and well it is one of the most important features for me since im often on the go and the upload from my server is quite janky.

is there any way to role back the device since there is still the old version running on other devices? does anyone know?

The corporate excuse is they had to push it to force the “you must pay for remote viewing”. But we know if they wanted to architecturally enforce that they could have gone about it another way.

SaaS margins are typically 90%+ and the content isnt even hosted by plex, it’s on our own servers. There is no way it could be that expensive to service this software as it has been served to us historically.

You’re very wrong with this, especially where there’s a commitment to provide the service/product for free unless you want higher levels of features. This is probably why they’ve increased sub prices and require the new watch subscriptions.

You can’t even see anything on me. :man_facepalming:

I agree. This is a disaster on a pixel 7 pro. The guide never loads. Moving photos to a separate app is ridiculous. Everything worked great before this forced update.
