Plex is great as media center and I hope to cut off the cable soon and rely 100% on Plex for TV usage. However, I feel something is missing whenever I use Plex. I realize that I actually miss the joy of channel surfing just to see what is showing in a particular channel without having to choose from a large library.
With this, I would like to suggest a new feature that provide the ability to create my own private TV channels using the library in my Plex server so that whenever I switch on my TV, I can watch whatever is already showing in that particular channel. If I don’t like it, I can move on to the next channel.
Anyone in the same network can also watch the same thing from multiple clients (devices).
Of course, the users still can choose to browse the media library using the conventional way by pressing a button (assign by the admin) in the remote control.
