I’ve started getting the error:
“The file associated with this item is not accessible by the server. Please verify that the file exists and the necessary drive is available.”
This has occured 3-4 times over the last 2 days. The files are available, and I’ve been able to access them locally. Restarting plex server AND the android TV app seems to fix it until the issue is encountered again.
I tried updating today in case that’d fix it, however as I came home today it was showing the error again.
Most likely reason is hard drives which are allowed to spin down when they’re unused for a while.
If the media file sare stored outside of the server machine (e.g. on a NAS device), another possible cause are network adapters which are shutting down or slowing down after a period of idleness.
So: disable power saving for hard ddrives and network adapters.
