The iOS app crashes a few seconds into playback when using the new player

The iOS app crashes a few seconds into playback when playing MKV files encoded with H.265. However, the issue does not occur when using the old player in settings. I can reproduce this problem on both my iPhone and iPad. I have attached a crash report.

I have just started getting this error on my mobile device. iPhone 16 pro max.
I have never had this issue before, however I don’t often use my phone to watch content.

Did you manage to get this resolved?

Also this is the error I get, wondering if it is the same as yours?

My Plex app updated to the new UI, which no longer includes the option for the old player. Although the new app doesn’t crash when playing H.265 content, it presents several other issues. For example, I can no longer zoom in to hide the black bars on my iPad.
