The latest Plex player update to the ipad OS player is problematic- UPDATED, versions, logs, screens

Hello,

I’ve got an Ipad Air M2, IpadOS 18.3.2.
Plex App Version:2025.14.0 (1037)
Platform Version:

I regret downloading all updates on my ipad yesterday. The latest Plex player app on ipadOS is not good.

  1. The cover art for the episodes that were already downloaded to the ipad before the update are now missing after that update.

  2. The names of the TV Show / Episode / Movie - are now so obscure I cannot see them easily at a glance. I need to bring the ipad closer to my face to read them. The new UI is very difficult to use.

  3. Shows / Movies that were already in progress before the update do no appear under the “In progress” tab, as if they were freshly downloaded and never viewed.

  4. There is no option to show subtitles in the shows that I used to watch subtitles on, before this latest update.

  5. The progress bar is no longer a progress bar. For a show that is already has XX minutes of viewing time that has elapsed, the progress bar remains at the extreme left, although the elapsed time does show elapsed time, when I touch the progress bar.

  6. I cannot slide the progress bar at all, which I could do before the latest update. It simply does not move.

  7. You really have to hunt to find the “Downloads”, it was so easy to find before the latest update.

Please revert to the previous UI and keep it that way .

AMEN TO THIS.

I wiped my downloads and started over but the layout, showing every episode of every show, instead of nesting the episodes behind a TV series top level icon is absolutely ridiculous. Who dreamed this up???

Please revive the old layout…it was infinitely better UI design.

Just checking in to see if there are any announcements about updates to the iOS client.
It doesn’t look like it. I can’t even use plex on my ipad now. Why dont they roll back the previous working version? At least we would have something usable.
