The media was unable to be analyzed - trouble syncing to IOS

Hello,

Can someone point me in the right direction.

Plex will not sync to my IOS devices anymore, I’m not certain exactly when this started, but it is constant now.

The sync’d items convert, and the converted file will play on a PC just fine if I find the file on the server, but when it starts to download(at 50%) it fails, and if you click on the failure you get the message “This media was unable to be analyzed”

I’m running Plex server 1.4.3.3433 with a plex pass, as a docker image on an unraid server.
The IOS devices are up to date according to the app store.
One of my sons android plex devices seems to sync ok, but it is an older plex client.

I’ve tried a few things, but nothing has helped so far:

  1. completely removing the plex client on my ipad and reinstalling
  2. updating the docker client, and the version of plex inside
  3. deleting the contents of the cache/Transcode/sync+ directory

I’ve attached a couple of PMS logs in case that helps.

Good news for anyone finding this post on searching. The plex devs were listening, according to the thread here https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/254539/synchronisation-failed-due-to-error-this-media-was-unable-to-be-analyzed#latest

it is fixed in PMS v1.4.4 .
