No option to offset subtitles.
I’ve heard all the excuses. Some say it’s client specific, some say only PHT can do it and some suggest that I manually edit the subtitles before watching the episode, which of course is impractical.
And yes, I have configured Plex to automatically download subtitles on metadata refresh, and I am also using subliminal for external subtitles. And yes, I am using the official Plex client, downloaded from the App store, on AppleTV 4K.
The issue remains. Not all subtitles will be perfect. At some point I’ll have to offset them. It’s such a simple feature, which I’ve been using on KODI for years now. Why is Plex behind on this? Why can’t I offset the subtitles, not matter where they came from?
Don’t get me wrong, Plex is amazing in every other way. It’s a shame to be missing a simple, yet a so useful feature, for all these years.
