The player randomly ignores commands from the Chromecast with Google TV 's remote

The problem with the player on the Chromecast with Google TV streaming dongle is that, randomly, the controls stop working/responding. This is the same for the TV’s remote. The only controls that work at this point is the pause and play button’s on the TV’s remote.

This fault has been present now for about a month.
