As of late I find myself more and more using Chromecast (the feature not the device) to watch stuff due to the problems plaguing Android TV app. You don’t get any bells and whistles but it’s stable AF. Noticed some issues:

The remote rewind and fast forward features no longer work on Chromecast, they work fine using the phone app/Google Home controls but as soon as you touch those buttons on the remote, Chromecast crashes.

Audio sync. The moment you pause viewing and resume, audio gets out of sync, the more you pause and resume the worse it gets.
I’m using cast on Nvidia Shield Pro since the advertise as player is broken and there doesn’t appear to be a fix in sight.
