Sorry my english was Not so good but I try to explain my problem
My NAS Synology DS415+ until yesterday Plex had been working for more than 3 years. I made a mistake in the remote access settings. Instead of the standard port 32400 I put 5004. (But 5004 was used to Connect dsm https)
After validation my server is no longer accessible and there is no way to change the parameter since it tells me “The “NaSam” server is inaccessible. Check that the server is working, also check the network, then try again.” I tried to start again by deleting Plex Media Server from the NAS (deleting EVERYTHING) and deleting the media server from my account in my devices.
I recovered with the Token (Plex/claim) it tells me that it is recovered and when I connect it is still inaccessible.
Can I reset the port setting to 32400 in another way? without having access to it?

Anyone have a solution?

What do you Mean? I dont try With vpn Connection I am on the Same router with Mac Computer.

I looked at Plex.tv.
I see you deleted the old servers.
I see you created a new server yesterday.
I see Plex.tv was able to talk to it yesterday when you claimed it.

The server’s IP is 192.168.1.10

Since yesterday, it has not connected to Plex.tv

When you look in Package Center, is Plex running?

If it is, please stop Plex.

Now, open File Station,
Navigate to PlexMediaServer/ AppData/ Plex Media Server
Right-click “Logs” and “Compress to Logs.zip”

Lastly, download Logs.zip to your computer then upload here so I can see what happened.

Lorsque vous regardez dans le Centre de paquets, Plex est-il en cours d’exécution ?

Si c’est le cas, veuillez arrêter Plex.

Maintenant, ouvrez File Station,
Accédez à PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server
Cliquez avec le bouton droit sur « Logs » et « Compress to Logs.zip »

Enfin, téléchargez Logs.zip sur votre ordinateur, puis téléchargez-le ici pour que je puisse voir ce qui s’est passé.

the last time I had access to my real server was Monday.
exact the ip of the nas is 192.168.1.10 but I cannot connect (locally) with 192.168.1.10:32400/web (or 5004 since I changed the parameter of the remote access port)
the new server is created with 192.168.1.10:32400/web but impossible to select the files in the nas only those of my Mac.
the new server created, had the same name as the old one to differentiate it I renamed him Robert.
the server, Robert can therefore be deleted from the database. It was a try to recover my old server.

  1. Use the Plex Claim token option when installing
    You may use this again after normal installation.

  2. Open an incognito (private) browser window then open the NAS by it’s LAN IP (http://192.168.1.10:32400/web) . When you are on the same home network, the external port 5004 does not matter. PMS always listens to 32400 on LAN.

I used claim Token by installing PMS Tuesday with the Message « claim successfully Samfiles ».

Thuesday i try to connect with http://192.168.1.10:32400/web (but Not in private Mode) but it didn’t work. I will try private mode this evening After my work.

Should i uninstal PMS and install New with claim Token again before i try to Connect with privat Mode?

EDIT : I open an incognito (private) browser safari then open the NAS by it’s LAN IP (http://192.168.1.10:32400/web but it connect me to new server “Robert” that I create without wanting to.
The old server cannot be reached…

In summary, my old server is no longer accessible from my account for I don’t know what reason.
The IP of my NAS is fixed 192.168.1.10 and when I try to connect with the address http://192.168.1.10:32400/web it adds another server that I call “Robert” for the differentiate.

Attempt to access it
Stop Plex
Manually make a ZIP of PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Logs
Download the ZIP
Attach it here for me.

I found the problem.

You are using a full host-domain name to access BEFORE you’ve added your certificate to PMS.

Aug 15, 2024 23:46:08.432 [139751698033464] DEBUG - Request came in with unrecognized domain / IP ‘samfiles.synology.me’ in header Referer; treating as non-local

Use the IP address ONLY.

The synology.me domain will never work because it actually redirects you to taiwan first then back. PMS is seeing this and saying NO!

If you wish a domain.

  1. Get a real domain with Certificate
  2. ADD the certificate ( Key, Cert, Password ) from the P12 to PMS.
  3. Then you will be able to use it as you are now.

Until then, set it up with IP address only

If I use the NAS IP it puts me on the Robert server… (new server created recently without wanting to) but I would like to get “NaSam” back.
