I use The TV Database for my Series section. Most series don’t have translations in my native language. So I made an account on the TVDB and added descriptions etc. from the series that are missing in my native language. But when I renew the metadata it still is empty. how long does it take before the TVDB ‘‘updates’’ so Plex can take the information from the series?
Some time. Normally hours to a day or two. The reason is, that Plex caches/proxies the access to thetvdb to get their servers a well deserved relief.
Ahh alright. So if I add the data and renew the metadata in like 3 days then it should be fine?
Yes it should. There is also a local cache which you could clean in case the edited content does not show up.
