I’m experiencing an issue with the “Watched Status” feature in Plex. The watched status for movies is not updating correctly, showing 0 plays for films that both myself and my users have watched. I would like to report this as a bug and seek assistance in resolving it.
Steps to reproduce:
Ensure that both the Plex server and client apps are updated to their latest versions.
Confirm that the “Watched” status is properly enabled for the movies library.
Play movies from various users’ accounts and confirm that the “Watched” status is not updating correctly.
Expected behavior:
The “Watched Status” feature should accurately reflect the number of plays for each movie, updating the count as users watch the films.
Observed behavior:
The “Watched Status” remains at 0 plays for movies that have been watched by both myself and my users. This issue occurs consistently and is affecting the usability of the feature.
Additional information:
I have verified that the movies have been watched by checking the playback history in the Plex app.
I have attempted to refresh the library and update the metadata, but it did not resolve the issue.
Other features and functionalities in Plex are working correctly; it’s specifically the “Watched Status” that is not updating accurately.
