themoviedb agent and problems with a polish character

hi,

 

I´m not sure whether this is the right forum.

 

I use themoviedb agent for some polish films. If the filmname has the following character: " ł " -> the scanner won´t find the film.

 

for example if I search for: "Złoto dezerterów" no film is found.

 

If I replace " ł " with "L" -> the film is found ("Zloto dezerterów")

If I take Freebase as scanner -> the film is found even with the "ł" character.

 

Of course TheMovieDB has a record with the proper filmname (with polish character)

 

other polish characters are well recognized ! it´s reproducable with many filmnames.

Not the right forum, since this forum is for 3.Party devs.....

But when said....Known issue.....Change your directory and filenames into the english.

hmm.. but this issue I only have with the "themoviedb" agent. isn´t this a 3. party agent? where should I post it then?

of course I know how to get that movie matched.. 

change filenames to english is no alternative because not every movie I want to match is listed in imdb. so some of them are only listed in themoviedb ..

the funny thing is that the problem only occurs with this letter?

This looks like an issue with TheMovieDB API, because with the correct title, even URL encoded, there's just no results coming back from the search call...

Edit: Nope, this was an issue with the agent code  :blink: I've pushed out a fix for this.

It'll be downloaded by your Plex Media Server shortly, or you can force an update through the Web Client under Channels > Install Channels > More... > Check for Updates.
