"there was an error uploading this artwork"

I’ve had this error with some library items (mostly TV shows) whether it be the main poster or the season folders, upon looking at the console I see this error whenever I try add artwork:

[Req#a0d5e] safe_fopen: fopen for ‘“/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Metadata/TV Shows/4/f0e9c2b6d8a3779799387a0dd13d9bfddfd44fd.bundle/Uploads/posters/seasons/1/5fdf91cc7d1b7e5100b965d767b6e9a64ad096b0.tmp.32033060-171a-4ae6-a3a4-716b2c4b3d3d”’ failed: 13 (Permission denied)

I don’t understand why it says Permission denied as the plex user is the owner of that directory and file.

Apart from this error (which might be a known issue with the upload feature)
I cannot dissuade you enough from using it.

Always add any local assets directly to the media folder. Be it posters or subtitles.
Never use the upload, unless there is no support for the file method (like for Collection posters).
