I removed the DVD version of Thunderbirds from my Plex library today and added the blu-ray version. When I scanned the library, there were no posters, banners, episode descriptions - so no metadata. I fixed the match for that show alone selecting The Movie Database instead and the metadata was downloaded. I tried doing a Fix Match no another show that had previously downloaded from the thetvdb.com without issue, and again, no metadata from thetvdb.com and no issue when I select The Movie Database instead as the agent.
When I went onto thetvdb.com, and it has a new layout. Sure that’s just a coincidence.
I haven’t added to my TV Shows library in a little while, so I’m not sure when the problem started.
Anyone else having issues with metadata retrieval from thetvdb.com at the moment?
I am experiencing the same problem. Unfortunately, the post does not resolve it. It looks like Plex needs to upgrade to TLS with the new API. Is this true?
I noticed this morning that a few of my recently added TV shows were missing posters. Must have happened over night during the scheduled maintenance thing. Seems to be any poster that I selected over the default that Plex chooses. I can still choose my selection, and apply it, but nothing but a dark gray rectangle.
I imagine it will sort itself out over the next day/week/month or so.
This will NOT be a wide sweeping normal occurance, but I am upgrading what is sure to be the most awful closer in the history of Television - S8 of GOT. I continue to get posters and text, but it is not fast. The rest of the show remains unscathed and one thing I’m not going to do is ‘Refresh Metadata’!!
That smells like a recipe for disaster - or at least a major set back for your Plexiverse.
