They’re not fixing this, are they?

I thought a couple of weeks, & certainly a month, would be enough time to restore everything the update broke for basic things like playlists but nope, just another day opening the app & being greeted with the same shiny pretty unusable gallery of thumbnails.

Nope. The updates are not addressing any of the real issues. They’ve taken to rewording things in “new” and “fixes” and verbose statements that don’t mean anything. “ * Try the new Settings Search! It should now be easier than ever to find settings.” WTF does that even mean?

It’s a search, for settings… It’s not that complicated to understand.

You failed to do so.

Perhaps then you could explain how “Try the new Settings Search! It should now be easier than ever to find settings” doesn’t mean there’s now a search function to find settings? Or be clearer about what you find difficult to understand about it?

Stop the nonsense! You’re just repeating the words they give you, like a parrot.

So do you know what it is or not? Would a picture help?

No, I was expecting you to show me since you appear to know.

Any clearer?

I was actually coming on here to apologize since I failed to see that when I first looked at the new update, but the patronizing tone shows that it’s not deserved. Work on that.

yeah it’s a search in settings. If you have had a mobile phone in the last 12 years, you’ll know what it is.

Ooo careful, you might be patronising him

Honestly having a search for settings is nice to have but really really low on what I would consider priority to fix.

This wasn’t something we prioritized, it came out of a hackathon effort where an individual engineer had the idea to add it. They took extra time to work it up and get it demo-able and it was liked enough to get some test validation and we deployed it. We are still working hard against our prioritized lists to get the new apps to a place where there is a much better comfort level all around.

Just download an apk from before the update to rollback to a usable version. I finally gave up waiting for them to fix the downloads today. It’s definitely nice to be back to a functional version.

Any indication on when we might see OTA Live TV & DVR features again? This was my main use of the iOS app (managing my DVR), so it’s something I’ve been missing.

lol, don’t hold your breath waiting for a reply. The only interaction you’ll get here is with the toxic devil’s advocates.

They’re in almost every comment section. Obnoxious, condescending, and preternaturally brilliant.

I’d rather just wait and see if I get a response, thank you, without the pessimism and cynicism.

Best of luck. My pessimism and cynicism is not unearned. Prior to this fiasco, I never had a need to visit this useless forum because Plex just worked. I hope you get the answer you desire.

At least you get thumbnails. I can’t even watch live TV from my HD HomeRun Prime anymore on any device with the “new” experience. Still works perfect on any device I’ve downgraded or prevented from updating. Why the f-ck should I spent 1 microsecond troubleshooting anything on my end when the only thing that changed was this hot piece of garbage “experience” replacing the previously working app? I empathize with everyone experiencing issues and agree; this will not be fixed.
