This server is not powerful enough to convert video but shows were working and now not - why?

I was happily watching my tv series shows when it suddenly stopped and on restarting I got the message, This server is not powerful enough to convert video.

I have a QNAP server running the plex app to a smart TV and no changes have been made on any device… I was up to episode 12 when it stopped and now even previous shows I watched give me the error. what could have happened, I restarted QNAP, and still not good, nothing changed on the server, memory still free as before… please help?
