I don’t know a whole lot about Plex, so bear with me please. I just got a Nvidia Shield and I installed PMS on it. I have all of my movies etc. On my Synology DS213+. I also have PMS installed on my PC, since that’s what I used before my Shield. My PC have always been able to play my movies, since my CPU is more than capable of handling it, and so is my internet and WiFi connection.
All of a sudden tonight, I got this message when watching a movie on my Shield, using the PMS installed on Shield. I couldn’t figure out why, so I tried to connect to the PMS on my PC from my Shield. Same error on the same movie.
Can someone help me this problem? I don’t know where to start looking for the error.
Can you post more about the movie details? Like the get info screen from the PMS movie page? Knowing the format and bit rate will help assist in seeing if its possible to figure out the reason it was transcoding
Is your PC and Nvidia Shield both connected via wireless? Just gathering notes on your network setup.
