This just in:
720s (progressive) don’t transcode, but 1080i does.
This seems a recent change.
The good news - you have MCEBuddy and it knows how to fix stuff like this.
The bad news - you have to let MCEBuddy fix stuff like this.
We’ll know more when we can see those MediaInfo reports, but I suspect I know what happened.
