This server is not powerful enough to convert video

Server Version#: Latest Windows version on server 2022, tested beta and older May release as well
Player Version#: Latest Plex-web, roku apps

Half my library refuses to play now with this error on plex-web or even roku apps. Any conversion whatsoever appears to die, direct play works fine. I’ve deleted codecs folder, rolled back to an earlier version, no change. GPU is in server but no hw acceleration working, changing options does nothing. Started slowly having issues with random movies until I’m at the point anything needs converted is no longer playing. Tried changing subtitles, etc, pretty much any option to test was tested.

Anyone able to help point me in the right direction? Cuz right now I’m about to fully commit to JF that actually works without issue and nuke this outta my server after a decade of use.

What CPU and GPU are you using?

I like that you already downgraded server versions, but curious, did you downgrade one version or multiple? Sometimes on issues I have, I’ll downgrade several versions back and things will work.

Also for the media that’s not playing, have you been able to narrow it to any specific file types, or is it just kinda everything?

Also curious if using HW acceleration, have you updated drivers recently and if it’s Nvidia, are you unlocking the encoder?

I wanna help if I can but I haven’t directly had this issue. I also haven’t used windows server in a while.
