A few weeks back I enabled thumbnail generation by changing the drop down under library from “never” to “as a scheduled task”. My scheduled tasks are set to run between midnight and 5am. For the first week or so, this seemed to work and it looked as though the thumbnails were being generated in reverse order of the date they were added as best I could tell. So every night the new content would get thumbnails and then it would work its way back through the media. I could see through a grafana dashboard that the CPU was pegged during this entire window of time, which was expected of course and I was fine with.
All the sudden a week or so ago, the thumbnails stopped generating and no changes to any settings were made. I have tried changing the schedule and have looked through the logs, but im really not sure what I’m looking for. I assume if there was an error it would be in the plex media server.log files? These only seem to go back about 2 hours or so for me. I changed the scheduled tasks to run at a time i could watch the logs and again did not really see anything that stood out to me.
Any help here would be appreciated.
