Tidal Family with Plex features

It seems you can either buy a Tidal subscrition from Plex and enjoy some of the special features this offers (normalizing, sweet fades) or buy your Tidal Family subscription from Tidal, link one of those Tidal accounts to Plex, but forego those Plex features.

Please allow Tidal × Plex users to upgrade to a Family plan, even if only one of those users is linked to Plex with all the sweet fades etc. The rest of the family can at least enjoy Tidal through the Tidal web or mobile apps, or link to separate Plex accounts if they have.

Possible workaround: PLEX - Tidal: Family Pass

I think there has been a misunderstanding, this doesn’t answer the question at all, simply re-states what fwbeck said in his post.

No misunderstanding.
The linked way is the only method to get a tidal family subscription to work on Plex.
Plex itself cannot offer those family accounts.

@fwbeck and @xFrieD.SpuDx

the tidal family pass does work with plex and individual plex accounts. (each user = 1 tidal and plex email)

the tidal family pass does not work with managed accounts (managed accounts are sub-profiles of the plex admin account).

you can still have a plex home with users on their own account…

Plex home managed users = admin account
Plex home shared users = user has their own plex account email/password

So, how do I link my PMS home users (family) with their respective Tidal Family Account?

OR

How do I “convert” existing home users (family) to individual Plex accounts for me to link afterwards each one with their respective Tidal Account?

Hi and thanks. Are you confirming that Sweet Fades and Normalizing now works in Plex and Plexamp even if the Tidal account is not purchased through Plex? Because that’s what my earlier post was all about and I haven’t found anything to the contrary.

I would like to know that too.
What drawbacks are there now if Tidal isn’t billed through Plex but instead linked to accounts with plex pass. Some posts are contradicting what’s written in the support documents.
Thanks!
