I’m using Plex with Tidal integration to manage my saved and streaming music libraries in combination. Unfortunately, I’m finding that accessing Tidal via the Plex app is resulting in some errors in displayed albums and tracks that on investigation seem to be coming from Plex’s end.
Example 1: The album “Lungs” by Florence + The Machine (the regular version, not the deluxe or digital deluxe versions). To begin with, it’s missing Tracks 1 and 7 in the track listing; however, when I tried to access it through the Tidal web player in order to get the URL for Tidal customer support, I found that it’s not listed on there at all. Furthermore, attempting to play any of the tracks through Plex results in an error (error code: 4294967283). I suspect that it’s actually not meant to be available at all and shouldn’t still be listed.
Example 2: The EP “Trust Issues” by Orchards. On Plex, it’s missing over half its tracks (namely Tracks 1, 2, and 4). On the Tidal web player, it displays correctly with all five tracks. I also once got the same error code as above (4294967283) when trying to play it through Plex, though it does not seem to be happening consistently.
I don’t know if these are the only albums with issues, but they’re the ones I’ve run into problems with thus far. If I find any others, I’ll add them to this thread.
