Missing album from TIDAL in Plex

This doesn’t seem to be an isolated issue, as seen in previous posts which have no final solution and are now closed, for example:

I’ve noticed another missing album. See below screenshots, the latest album “Last Call for All Passengers” is present in the TIDAL web app, but can’t be found in Plex.

This seems to be an ongoing situation where at random music does not appear in Plex from TIDAL, is there anything that can be done to get all music that is in TIDAL to always appear in Plex?

Thanks!

Right, this problem is not solved al all, still there are missing albums, and worst of all it seems nobody is behind or aware of this issue.
Below some examples

Agreed, I could point out 10+ more albums & singles that fit the criteria: available on Tidal.com, but the tracks don’t show up on the Plex platforms. I’ll list a few for fun, but I still contend that the majority of the missing albums (for me) are newer releases. Typically they show up blank on release week (album cover appears, but no tracks), then slowly trickle into the Plex platforms in a few weeks/months. The new AC/DC single “Shot in the Dark” took about a month to become available via Plex – I thought for sure that would be a popular enough release to get noticed right away.

Been waiting for this one since September: (9/18/20 release date)

This single is missing the entire release (no album cover): (9/25/20 release date)

This one released 10/16/20

This one released 10/6/20

I have many other examples. My current work around/concession is to add them to a playlist on Tidal.com, and frequently check to see if any new songs show up on “My TIDAL Playlists” in Plex. They usually show up in a few weeks, but I’ve still got some from September that I’m waiting for.

Thanks for starting another thread. The last official word I got was in this thread:

Well, I’ll be watching this thread just to see if anything materializes, but here is now my favorite example of missing albums/tracks.

Someone pointed out that Tool’s Fear Inoculum only has 7 out of 10 tracks available in Plex.

However, I added that album from TIDAL to my local library and if I view it there, I still have 10 tracks that are all PLAYABLE.

I’ve had great success last Friday (12/4/20) in seeing ALL of the missing albums (above) in Plex – formerly, they had only been viewable/playable in Tidal proper & could not be seen in any Plex app.

I’m happy to report that I’ve added all of these to my Plex library & I’m excited and grateful to be able to play them in Plex. How’s everyone else fairing?

For clarity: this positive report does not apply to the albums that are viewable in both places, but unplayable in Plex.

There weren’t any that I was having trouble with personally, but I do notice that the Tool album above is still not displaying all songs when browsed. I had previously added those songs to my library and there they still show and play.

Did this get fixed yet? I cancelled Tidal because it was pointless with this problem to even try, and other streaming services have a better experience in their own apps, and a better catalogue of music (and I wouldn’t use TIDAL just for the lossless audio, let’s be honest I can’t tell the difference without extreme concentration on problem samples only).

If this issue was actually fixed though, I would consider using TIDAL since I enjoy having a seamless single-app experience for streamed and owned music.
