Tidal not integrating with local library

Hi all,

I’m using Plexamp for music listening with an active Tidal sub.

I’m questioning, how the integration of Tidal with your local library works. What I’m experiencing is the following:

If I view artist X from my local library, on the artist page I get the artists albums from my local library, but no other Tidal related information c.q. albums.

If I do a search on artist X, I get all the results, showing ARTISTS and TIDAL ARTISTS. And so if I choose a search result from ARTISTS (i.e. local library) the above situation occurs (No extra Tidal info is displayed).

It is exactly this kind of integration, that enables music discovery based on your own local music. This works in Roon and Audirvana.

Is it correct to state, that this does not work in Plex(amp)?

Your local music library should use “Plex Music” as both Scanner and Agent.
On the same tab in the library’s properties, you should also have both
“Include related external content”
and
“Popular Tracks”
activated.

I had everything configured just like that. Yesterday this didn’t work.

Today, indeed it does work… I have no clue as to what made the difference.

It might be possible that it started working after Refresh Metadata was triggered.
If you only triggered it on an Artist or album, consider doing it on the library as a whole.
