Tidal "not yet available in your country." - UK/Isle of Man

Hi,

I’m wondering if I’m falling foul of yet another US-only deal that omits to consider the rest of the world in promotions.

I’ve tried signing up to Tidal via Plex from both a UK and an Isle of Man IP Address. But the sign-up panel at the bottom of the details page on Plex just says “We apologize, but TIDAL is not yet available in your country.”.

Is this not yet available in the UK/Isle of Man? Considering the Isle of Man is often separated from the UK (when it perhaps shouldn’t - and vice versa, often resulting in false positives), what is the best way of appearing as a UK user instead?

I’m far from being an expert on this matter.
Could it simply be they have a mechanism to look beyond your attempt to “appear as a UK / Isle of Man” user?

Tidal’s service should be available in the UK. As you pointed out… that leaves the option of Isle of Man being considered a separate territory of kinds.

I’m aware Tidal is available in the UK. Indeed, a friend has used Tidal in the IOM. But I suspect that it may be a Plex+Tidal thing.

My attempt to appear in the UK was logging on to a machine I know is hosted in the UK. Without IP address or logging in, I’m not sure how it could know, but I’m acquiescent to defeat :wink:

I’ve rediscovered my own owned music since getting Plex up and running properly so will just invest in expanding that :slight_smile:
