Tidal integration does not seem to work for me?

I am premium subscriber to Tidal HK (where I live). I subscribed directly (not through Plex).

Tidal APP works flawless and I can use it.

I have linked Tidal to Plex by signing in, which worked. Tidal now shows up on the web app as well as IOS / ATV devices.

However, there are quite some issues, so it doesn’t really work yet in Plex:

  • “My Tidal” is empty and gives me a promotional message “Tidal + Plex is more”

  • All songs can only be played as preview

  • “Add to Music” does not display

  • “Add to Tidal” seems to do nothing

Some more info:

  • When accessing via app.plex.tv, it seems to work

  • IOS and ATV players don’t work at all. It shows “music is unavailable”, so nothing works at all (not even playing 30sec test tracks)

  • Local web player (my-IP) also does not work. Albums show up, but tracks only play 30sec and “my tidal” cannot be accessed

  • Everything works perfectly well with the Tidal APP (outside of Plex)

My sense is that the issue is that I have a Tidal HK subscription and that’s where I live. Tidal is available in HK and I pay for it. It seems that Plex does not support Tidal HK and blocks it? When using app.plex.tv, it seems to funnel it through Plex servers, which provides some form of proxy?
