Tidal 'Plex Media Player' Support?

Hi There,

It seems that the Windows Desktop Apps do not yet support the tidal integration? Only the Web/Online player and IOS?

Is this correct? Seems very buggy.

Screenshot below from Windows Desktop App, clicking to play anything Tidal does not work, and you cannot select Tidal as a source under ‘Online Content’ like you can in the Web Browser, and you cannot select Tidal as a server in the top left like you can in the web browser?

Plex Apps that Support TIDAL

The following Plex client/player apps support accessing linked TIDAL content:

  • Android (mobile) (v7.8.0 or newer)
  • Android TV (v7.8.0 or newer)
  • Apple TV (v1.37 or newer)
  • iOS (v5.7.2 or newer)
  • Plex Web App (v3.77.2 or newer)*
  • Plexamp (v1.1 or newer)
  • more app support coming soon!

Thanks. I tried Plexamp instead, but it only gives me a blank window and I can’t search anything at all. Is this a common issue?

Fixed by deleting this C:\Users<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Plexamp

Will TIDAL become available in PMP? Very, very needed! It will be a go or no go feature for me. Whats the reason for not integrating it into PMP?

I’d like to have Tidal available too in the Plex Media Player. It’s a huge let down that it’s only available in the Browser while I’m sitting on my Notebook.

Edit: It seems to work with Plexamp so I am happy for now

The last time I checked plexamp didn’t work unless you had a music library on your pms. Maybe I set it up incorrectly.

I do have a music library so I am not sure if that’s why I didn’t run into any issues.
