On occasion the information in the LIVE TV SCHEDULE database is WRONG.
EXAMPLE - PBS in the States - A show called “Ridley”, Each show is in two parts - Part one and Part two. PLEX ignores the RECORDING request for Part two because the ‘GUIDE Database’ has an input error and says that “Part two” is “Part one”. Plex will NEVER record part two because it’s mis-labled as Part one in the database! Apparently the only work around option is to “FOOL” PLEX into recording an ‘Extra 90 minutes’ of the previously scheduled show.
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to record media independent if/how it’s listed in the guide. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
