Timestamp movie scenes

Is there a way in Plex to timestamp scenes in the movie for demo purposes? I watched the movie Sinners, and I want to mark specific scenes in the movie so I can quickly jump to them. Is this something doable?

Please advise, and thank you in advance

There is not a feature to manually timestamp.

Those Timestamps are usually the times that you see when ripping. When using MakeKMV you see Chapter 01 and then somewhere, you’ll see 00:00:00.000. The Chapter 01 is called a Scene Selection or Chapter Title. Over 90% of DVD’s have them directly on the disc or on that piece of paper/booklet on the left-hand side.

Anyways…that’s how Plex sees and makes chapter markers and if you know where the time is…you can edit your discs using something like MKVToolNix. Once done, update the metadata in Plex and it will have those chapter markers you speak of, but there’s not a direct way to do this in Plex. Only manually. I have changed many of my 4K movies to match exactly the timestamps on my DVD’s or Blu-ray discs, because for some reason…the studios don’t like to include chapter titles and most are shortened to 12 or 16 chapters, while DVD & Blu-ray had 16 to even over 50 chapters (depending on the movie). If you need help, just ask.
