Is there a way to make Plex use the system character set for title sort?
As it is now I have to replace “æ” with zz, “ø” with “zzz” and “å” with zzzz.

Are you expecting that e.g. “ø” is sitting at the end of the alphabet, after the “z”?
Isn’t it much more logical to find it after the “o”?
Nope. Deffently not. No Dane would look for ø aftor o!!!
It’s a compleete different caracher.
Sorry… wrong string.
I see that Plex support the Sweedish alphabet …
Unfortunately not the Norwegian and Danish set!
What makes you think so?
It did once but now I see it doesn’t anymore. (The Swedish ö and å appeared some years ago beyond z)
Anyway the work around with extra z’s is okay (I just have to remember to correct this)
I’ve asked and the answer is probably not entirely satisfactory to you:
Plex is using the unicode standard root collation for ordering.
An (extrememely technical and convoluted) explanation of that can be found in here UTS #10: Unicode Collation Algorithm
What will probably be changed in the future, is that Plex won’t generate an ASCII-version of the title to put into the “sort title” anymore. (e.g. currently, title “Øl” becomes sort title “Ol”)
