Tokyo Ghoul Re

Hi,

For some reason not all Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 re files are recognised as season 3. Some episodes are recognised as the same episiode but season 2. Only 6 episodes are correctly picked up as season 3 and they are episodes 1,3,14, 15, 23,24

For example both the following files are in the same folder but episode 13 is recognised as s02e13 and episode 14 is recognised as s03e14

(CBB) Tokyo Ghoul ~ re - S03E13 (1080p)(10bit-x265-AAC) S03E13
(CBB) Tokyo Ghoul ~ re - S03E14 (1080p)(10bit-x265-AAC) S03E14

I even tried renaming this files to just s03e13.mkv and s03e14.mkv but it made no difference

if you already added the files you need to do plex dance to make sure it removes the cache is has for those files.

before adding back in the steps outline in link I would get rid of the (CBB) at the start of the file names. Just have Tokyo Ghoul as the show name and put the season title after the notation. Also put the other data in brackets rather than parenthesis

if you are using the new Plex TV series agent and have it set with TheMovieDB order and have it set to use Season Titles it will give each season the proper season title.

Follow Plex naming & organization guidelines.

Use the show name as listed on TheTVDB, Tokyo Ghoul, or TheMovieDB, Tokyo Ghoul.

Plex Dance the entire show after renaming & reorganizing.

/TV Show Library  <-- TV Show library points here.  Folder name unimportant.
../Tokyo Ghoul <-- Show Name
..../Season 01 <-- "Season" in English.  Use two digits for season number.
....../Tokyo Ghoul - s01e01.ext <-- ext = mkv/mp4/etc.
..../Season 02
....../Tokyo Ghoul - s02e01.ext

I have already tried this and it did not work…
I have renamed it exactly as you have said now and it did not change…

Folder: …\TV Shows\Tokyo Ghoul\Season 3
Files: Tokyo Ghoul - S03E13.mkv, Tokyo Ghoul - S03E14.mkv

I am having similar issues with Hellsing as well… plex matched all episodes to hellsing before I ranamed them… however some episodes were for hellsing ultimate… even though I have renamed them now and put them in there own folder (hellsing ultimate) under tvshows… it insists on displaying the files under helsing… refreshing the library ddoes nothing… although the file location of the episode is updated in the helsing tvshow

I even unmatched both series… stopped the server… restarted it and refreshed the library again…

Plex still insists on mismatching the tokyo ghoul episodes as well as matching both the hellsing ultimate and hellsing folders to a single series… that is even before it is matched to a particular series fdor metadata!

Did you do the full plex dance? which agent are you using for the show? If you are using the new Plex TV series agent you can title the folder TV Shows\Tokyo Ghoul {tvdb-281249} which should help it find the correct show.
