Too Many Streams Error

That would be the “web app”. And I wrote above that Downloads are not available on that app type.

What app should I be running on my computer to enable downloads from my computer

Download link below.

I’ll download another version…but I don’t understand how I can download from outside ony Android phone if downloads aren’t supported…
Oh…the client end…

I have dl and installed it, but with the PLEX MEDIA SERVER running, I cannot access the version 1.56.xxx player. Even going into the directory and running it directly. It still comes up as 1.29. If I shut down the server and just run the client I CAN download.
Still have the issue with TOO MANY STREAMS, but this part is kinda resolved.
Thanks

Don’t be confused by the similar icons.
The shortcut of the server is named “Plex Media Server”.

The shortcut is named just “Plex” for the player with download support.

After started, it looks quite similar to the web app, but the absence of the web browser menus will give it away.
If you go to Settings, the item in the left side bar will read “Plex for Windows” instead of “Plex Web”. On the General menu item directly under this name, you will find the actual version number of the client.

Plex for Windows:

Plex Web:

Thank you so much.
I figured this out yesterday. I had been confused and never realized there was seperate player that could be used on my Windows PC. That took a while to register! My friend (running Linux) who taught me a bunch about Plex setup wasn’t aware of it either. We both learned a lot.
BTW for some reason the TOO MANY STREAMS error has gone away this morning. Not sure why. No other changes were made on my end nor on his.
Thanks again.
