Top Tabs Missing from Live TV & DVR

In both Chrome and Edge the behavior is shown. I have two different servers; one Windows ( 1.18.2.2029), and one linux. They both have my HDHomeRun added. The Windows Server Web Client shows the following tabs at the top of the screen when you navigate to the Live TV & DVR: Recommended, Guide, DVR Schedule, Browse. The same page on the Linux Server has none of these tabs. This is a fairly recent issue. I am moving away from the Windows server. How can I fix this?

Same problem here: the ‘Live TV & DVR’ side menu now defaults to a Browse view, however the top ‘RECOMMENDED’, ‘GUIDE’, ‘DVR SCHEDULE’, and ‘BROWSE’ tabs are all missing in the web view.

This means it’s currently impossible to view the DVR Schedule or Guide from the web view, only the Browse tab which it now defaults to.

As no forum member can help me with this issue, what can I do now? As a plex pass member I would have assumed I could get help from a support person working for Plex. Is that not the case? Any support link you click puts you back here. Any suggestions as to how I get Plex support? Thanks.

I have all of the tabs in Plex Web using server version 1.18.2.2058 on Linux. Have you upgraded your Linux Plex instance since your initial post? Also, are you accessing Plex Web via app.plex.tv, or directly to your server’s IP address on port 32400? app.plex.tv is a newer version of Plex Web than is distributed with the 2058 Plex server release, but it is worth trying both.

Also, trying to frame up the scope of the issue, do you get the same behavior if you access your Linux server via the installable Plex app for Win or PMP?

I’m running 1.18.2.2058 with the same issue.

From app.plex.tv I see the: You must be lost. We can't find the page you're looking for error when trying to view ‘Live TV & DVR’ from the side menu, even after resetting customisations.

The only place I can access the Guide and DVR Schedule tabs is from the Plex App (Mac).

I would recommend posting both the client and server logs shortly after recreating the problem. It appears that the web app at app.plex.tv is capable, so there must be something in the local config or in your server that it doesn’t like (NOT saying you are doing anything wrong!)

Does it also do this if you access app.plex.tv from incognito mode? This would be a login without cookies, cache, and local settings so it may behave differently.

This is a known issue and was reproduced by one of the moderators in this thread:

For the time being, you can work around it in a couple of ways:

  • Use the Plex desktop app for Windows or Mac, if you have one of those platforms; or
  • De-select “Remember selected tab” in the web UI at Settings → Web Client → General:

The second option will cause the view to default to Recommend when Live TV & DVR is selected from the left panel.

Another, more nuclear, option is to reset the whole web app on the affected machine by going to
Settings - Plex Web - Debug - ‘Show Advanced’ - “Reset to defaults”

This will clear out everything in the side bar and home page and will send you to the First Run wizard again.

Hey folks, I am not sure how, but it corrected itself. I have a strong belief it was the automatic upgrade to 4.16.2. Thank you for your help.
