This http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2014/07/torrentv-streams-pirated-videos-straight-to-your-apple-tv/ has just been released but I really can't see the benefit of it compared to plexconnect, yes it streams torrented files but doesn't the bittorrent channel already do that with the added extras of plex's brilliant UI features etc, plus wouldn't you have to initialize the airplay feature on the mac every time you would want to watch something ? , seems like a step back to me.
Well, it's not really better just an alternative. It has less features but it's also simpler in that you don't have to mess with certificates or DNS settings. You just use airplay. It looks like basically a better version of Beamer.
I really wish the Plex Server could incorporate this feature - i.e. Airplay direct from the server to the Apple TV. It could treat it pretty much the same way it treats the Chromecast.
