Toshiba Fire TV - Audio/Video Sync Just Went Kaput

Plex App v.7.16.1.10610
Toshiba Model 50LF621U19
FireTV Home Version v.6.1.6.1-006

Not sure if it’s because of an auto update on either the Plex App or the FireTV or the Toshiba itself, but my audio/video syncing has gone from perfect to bad. This was never an issue before.

I’ve made no changes to my Desktop Computer OS, where my Storage Disk with all my Plex media resides. I’ve made no changes to my network (connection is via Ethernet) either.

Anyone else have this issue? Any fixes suggested? Any other info I might provide that can help address and solve this issue?

well, the problem persists.
i have narrowed it down to this:
EXOPLAYER
i don’t recall this being the player before. not sure when it was introduced into PLEX, or what the previous player was. btw i NEVER had any audio/video sync problems with the previous player.
this is very discouraging. why introduce a new player without totally vetting it first? an audio/video sync issue would rear its ugly head right from the outset.

is it possible for me to REVERT to a prior version of PLEX on my FireTV? cause i don’t trust EXOPLAYER v.2. with all the time i’ve invested populating my PLEX library and using PLEX more and more for most all of my media watching, this is like a stab through the heart.

i was strongly considering buying a lifetime PLEX pass, but i would be crazy to do that now.
