Hi folks,
I have the opportunity to get a Toshiba X300 Performace 8Tb disk at a very…VERY… good price to add to my PMS, but I have my doubts about having this disk running 7x24, because it’s not NAS… any opinions or owners of this disk here?

Personally, I opted for the UltraStar HUH721212ALE604 (other capacities available)
- Longer MTBF (2.5M hours)
- Lower single bit read failure (1 / 10^15 )
Enterprise drives are rated to take a pounding where the Desktop/Workstation Toshiba is not.
If you keep the Toshiba properly cooled (remember, drives don’t like getting overheated), and at a constant (on) temperature with OS on , it’ll be the most stable it can be.
