I am having an issue where whenever I add a song to a track collection that song will then be reordered in the album that it comes from. This means that any track that is in a track collection will be listed first in the album then the remaining tracks will be listed afterwards. Usually when I refresh all metadata this will mostly go back to normal however anytime I add another track to a collection all tracks in that collection will become disorganized again.
Track collections have been super helpful for me. I have been programming a radio station while using them which allows me to filter my library by not including certain track collections. That means anytime I’m adding new music I can filter out anything that has already been played on the radio. I just don’t want it to upset the order of the rest of my library.
Thanks!

Yep I recently noticed this as well. It broke my database entirely because I did a smart collection with “all tracks starred 3 or higher” which was several thousands.
I had to revert my database to an earlier version. I was lucky that I noticed the issue in time though.
I don’t think a refresh set it back for me either.
Does anyone know of a jellyfin or navidrome client that has this functionality? I haven’t been able to find one that allows you to create a group and then filter your library by excluding that group. I guess another solution would be updating playlists to have all the functionality that collections do and getting rid of track collections? Not sure how possible that is. But to be able to look at your library excluding songs from playlists would be helpful.
I just updated to the latest beta and successfully added a few tracks to collections both manually and using advanced filters so hopefully this bug has been fixed
